High Street Solicitor- These guys are normally your first port of call as they are general solicitors who are equally trained in many aspects of legal codes, if they can't help you directly they will recommend a specialist for you to visit.

Property Solicitors- A property solicitor, otherwise known as a conveyancing solicitor, is the person you will go to if your looking to buy a house or a flat, these guys are the people that ensure your purchase goes through legally and you will end up with the property you intend to buy. They can also help make things go through a bit quicker and easier.

Divorce Solicitors- This type of solicitor is there for you when your marriage falls to pieces, and you both wish to go your separate way, they will help you divide up property, assets and ensure you have a fair settlement.

Injury Solicitors- If you have been injured in an accident that was not your fault and looking to claim compensation, talking to an injury solicitor would be a good first port of call, and if needed they will help you file a suit against the individual/ company that is responsible for your injury.

Tax Solicitors- These solicitors are more popularly used in business, they are there to help you deal with your taxes. They know all there is to know about the complicated UK tax systems, and if you want to stay on the good side of the Inland Revenue, a tax solicitor is the way forward.

Commercial Solicitors- Commercial solicitors specialise in business disputes, contractual arrangements and legal matters. People who want to start their own business and are not sure what papers need to be filed, need to draw up a contract and have disputes on the actions of another business would all use a Commercial Solicitor.

Employment Solicitors- These guys know everything to do with employment, whether you are an employer or an employee. Examples are such as unfair dismissals.
